GOLDEN SCAN 3 - ELECTRONICS |
The many effects and features offered by the
Golden Scan 3 all have three common denominators: precision, speed and
flexibility. This not only demands refined mechanical technology but a
highly sophisticated internal electronic system for controlling the
various different functions as well. The design of the Golden Scan 3 also
incorporates a simple and immediately accessible user interface based on
universal technical standards.

 |
The Golden Scan 3's electronics,
the best available on the market, have been developed and manufactured by
Pulsar Light of Cambridge, the English specialists in lighting effect and
intelligent luminaire control systems.
|
The control electronics for the Golden Scan 3,
form an essential component in the perfect performance of the luminaire.
All the many different functions of the Golden Scan 3 can be controlled
directly using just six control channels, some of which are
multi-functional. The channel layout is the same as that used on other
Clay Paky luminaires, allowing mixed systems to be used without
complicating the control and programming procedures. There is no limit on
the operator's choice of control system for the Golden Scan 3 set. The
luminaire in fact accepts all world-standard communication protocols: •
analogue from zero to 10 volts • digital DMX 512 (both original and DMX
512/1990 versions) • digital RS 232/423 with PMX (Pulsar MultipleX)
standard Control of the Golden Scan 3 is not, therefore, limited by a
customised protocol. All the processing necessary for the luminaire to
operate perfectly is carried out entirely by the two microprocessors
inside it, making it independent from the contro system. This
versatility makes it possible to use any control desk or computer,
providing the logic has a memory and processing capacity sufficient to
cope with the luminaire's many different functions.
