SHOWROOM LIGHTING. Premier Solutions offers a complete design and installation service for showroom lighting. We have supplied many different businesses that wanted to achieve a unique or themed look that was different from the normal type of shop of showroom system.
The result was realistic looking Film Lighting floodlights, complete with "Barn Doors" fitted with low power consumption discharge lamps. NJD PC56 and PC38 lanterns were converted for this particular application.
To add to the excitement we also designed a "Colour Changing Ceiling" that runs continuously overhead and changes its program during the course of the day. The overhead, colour changing, lighting can even be held on fixed colour at any time if desired.
This was controlled via a
LOGIC 8000s Controller working
coloured fluorescent tubes fitted with "instant start chokes".
The brief was to design a lighting system that could illuminate the mirrors or the cars or both together if desired. To make it even more complex, both the mirror lighting and the car lighting needed to be separately dimmable and in order to provide moving reflections off the mirrors the lights were made to sequence from dim to bright and back to dim again.
The client requested that the lighting should look industrial but metallic and highly polished.
The result was an overhead aluminium Showcraft Trussing framework from which two different types of polished aluminium floodlights were hung. To light the cars "Short Nose PAR56 300W Stage lanterns" were used and to light the mirrors miniature "Birdie 50W 12V polished Par Cans" were used. The whole system was wired back to remote DP10000 Power Packs which were controlled via a LOGIC 8000lv controller.
The combination of gentle sequencing lighting on decorative mirrors produced a sparkling effect of moving shadows and reflections that enhanced both the mirror display and the cars with eye-catching effect.
Recent additions to showroom equipment has been Bubble Tubes and Bubble Screens and the use of Fragrance Machines to create a pleasing ambiance.
Another popular addition to showroom lighting is the projection
of Company Logos onto convenient
walls or floors or even outside the showroom onto the pavement.
