FLOOR & WALL PADDING

Premier Solutions specialise in the supply and installation of fitted wall and floor padding. Our room padding uses special "high density foam" enabling the pads to be only 50mm thick for floors and 60mm thick for walls and yet offers excellent protection preventing the client from impacting the hard surface below the mat. All mats are covered with hard wearing and easy to clean Vinyl and are available in a wide range of colours.

Floor Pads are held together with heavy duty "Velcro" which enables them to be easily removed for cleaning. Wall pads are permanently fixed to the walls using fixing plates and screws,

Floor and wall padding can be supplied and installed in  sensory or calming rooms, seclusion rooms, restraint rooms, hospitals or nurseries
and are now common place in many mainstream schools.

Please note that the purpose of wall and floor padding is to prevent injury to a client due to impact. Whilst every effort is made to make the padding as tough as possible, no padding will withstand determined or deliberate destructive action.

It is common to include Seclusion Furniture in some padded rooms, to provide the client with comfortable seating that has been specifically designed for demanding environments.

Our service includes free measuring and quotation and whilst standard 2m x 1m mats are used where possible, all special corners and shapes are custom made to ensure a perfect fit in your room. In the case of sensory rooms, floor and wall padding can be made to fit around equipment like bubble tubes, waterbeds or wall displays etc.

Please note: when padding is used in a sensory room it is advisable to use "white" mats as the coloured lighting will change the colour of the mat to suit the sensory application. Please remember when choosing your colours that coloured lights will mix with the colour of the mat. For example; Red lighting on a blue mat will give you "brown padding"

The padding foam complies with the requirements of schedule 1, Part 1: The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire)(Safety) Regulations 1988 (Amended 1989, 1993).
The PVC skin complies with the following British Standards: BS EN 71-2 2006, Clause 4.5 & 5.8, BS 5438: 1976: Method 2, BS 5438: 1989: Method 2a/ 2b, BS 5867: Part 2: 1980, Type B and BS 7837: 1996.
