SENSORY ROOMS
SWITCHING & CONTROLS

SWITCHING
Switching can be achieved in several ways, from a simple “press switch”, which can be adjusted by the carer to require more or less pressure, to a “Magic Soft Ball”, that triggers a program that changes the colour of the whole room every time it is moved. Pressure "Pad Switches" can also be provided that can withstand prolonged abuse or even jumped upon without damage.

Wireless Switch

If you have existing switches, that you particularly like, these can be included into your new system. Making familiar and proven switches operate a whole new spectrum of effects.

RADIO SWITCHING
Another option is “radio switching”. This allows the user to activate sensory effects from switches with no trailing cables. This is particularly useful for over active users, avoiding the possibility of tripping or those users in wheelchairs.

SUPERVISOR CONTROLS
A separate control panel is installed in the sensory room, giving your supervisor the ability to activate any of the sensory effects in the room. The system is designed for simplicity and ease of use. Your supervisors do not have to learn how to work a computer or how to write programs.

All supervisor controls are installed in the sensory room ensuring that you never have to leave the user alone.

PROGRAMS
All programming is included in the cost of your sensory room and is custom written in line with your particular teaching methods and requirements. The programs themselves are stored in a controller that is housed in a locked cabinet, that can be away from the sensory area, if you wish. Your supervisors will not need access to this controller. A full backup of all of your programs is provided on a “memory card”, ensuring that you can restore the system, in the event of tampering or faults and giving you the independence to choose who you use for maintenance.
